Librarything

The suggestion given by Elio Gaspari, on his Sunday (09/25/2005) column in “O  Globo”, to use librarything (http://www.librarything.com) to catalog a personal library was great. The system created by Tim Spalding could be viewed as  as an orkut with brains, but it is much more than that. I am producing my catalog (http://www.librarything.com/profile.php?view=fsasse), transferring data from my (incomplete) bibtex datafile (http://members.fortunecity.es/lamb/books1.html).  The only problem is that many of my technical books  are in Portuguese or were published by the deceased Mir, and therefore don’t have entries in the Library of Congress or Amazon. Their data must be entered manually.
